Hair and Make-up Trends for Spring/Summer 2015
Whilst the runways have been filled with new and up coming fashion for next year the looks are not complete without that all important hair and makeup. Here is a look at some of these hair and make-up trends that appeared on the runway.
Hair and Make-up
Pat McGarth set about making incredible make-up for some top A-list models including Miranda Kerr at Sonia Rykiel with a sultry smoky eye that was super chic and very Parisian.
Cara Delevingne may have bleached her eyebrows for Givenchy, but for Saint Laurent they were heavier and darker as they were set black. The make-up featured graphic eyeliner wings on the lids and nude lips. Her hair was a simple centre part.
At Elie Saab, bright blue eyes were the focus as make-up expert; Tom Pecheux used MAC and layering different azure shades top and bottom to create a beautiful look.
Crimping is once again cool, well that is if you do it the way Stella McCartney did. Eugene Souleiman gave the top layer of hair some texture by crimping some random sections and then smoothing them into a low ponytail.
Peter Philips set a modern trend with delicate expressions of colour for next spring. ‘Pastel Eyes’ were created with laser cut patches of satin similar to that of Fendi’s show case of leather liner.
At the Thierry Mugler show, models Karlie Kloss and Georgia May Jagger were fresh faced with minimal make-up and centre partings.
Pat McGarth transformed the faces of Cara Delevinge, Kendall Jenner and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley with bleached eyebrows that emphasised graphic eye shadow wings.
At the Balmain runway show in Paris Rosie Huntington-Whiteley toughened up with the slick back wet look that seems to be here to stay just like bare face beauty.
At the Rochas show the make-up was about those Twiggy inspired fat lashes with mascara together for a doe eyed look. The hair was flat on the head with a deep side parting that led into a low ponytail.
In the beauty look, SS15 at the Balenciaga show it was no make-up, but that was overshadowed with the pin straight hairstyles.
