Summer Trends to Wear Now

There are plenty of trends for the summer, but here are some of these summer trends that you are able to wear now.

  1. Iridescence

If you are looking to make a brave impact then put on a holographic dress or skirt. If you are not feeling that bold then you can still rock the trend with an iridescent clutch, which is more subdued. This trend was shown on the runways of Marc by Marc Jacobs and Lanvin.

  1. Mesh

Mesh was around in the winter and was layered over a heavier material for insulation. With mesh in the summer you can wear it over a black camisole or if you are feeling more daring you can layer it over a neon coloured camisole. This trend was shown Vera Wang and Milly.

  1. Full Skirts

The voluminous ladylike silhouette is not going anywhere. In summer you can pair your full skirt with a crop top and in winter go for tights and boots. This trend was shown by Christian Dior and Tracy Reese.

  1. White Blouses

On the runway the simple white button down was reinterpreted. If you want to rock this trend look for white blouses that have a necktie detailing, embellishments or has an asymmetric cut for a new look on a favourite. This trend was shown by the Rachel Zoe Collection.

  1. Luxe Sweatshirts

The slouchy silhouette is getting a makeover for the spring and summer months. These sweatshirts come in brighter colours and have bolder and fun patterns. This was shown by Antonio Berardi.

  1. Suits

You can look like the boss in a power suit but with a twist. Go for coordinated colour separates, bold patterns and colours. If this is out of your comfort zone rather opt for a lighter shade. This trend was shown by Ralph Lauren.

  1. Pastels

Pretty pastels are wonderful shades for the spring and summer. Try mint green, blush pink and lavender. If you want to wear this trend in the winter then you can go for jewelled tones and leather. This trend was shown by Rag and Bone and Honor.

  1. Black and White

Black and white gives a crisp and cool contrast. This trend appeared on Richard Chai Love runways and Helmut Lang.

  1. Athleticism

An athletic style was shown to take over the runways with baseball caps, tennis inspired dress and varsity jackets being in the spotlight. This trend was by the likes of Lacoste, John Galliano and Victoria Beckham

  1. Geometric Prints

In the summer you will notice a geometry print craze with triangles, grids, concentric circles and more. This trend was seen on the runways of Carolina Herrera, Peter Pilotto and Fendi.
